My research focuses on the future of the media industry. The growth of the Internet continues to change the way we communicate and impacts the way we consume information. These changes require that those of us in old media reconsider our roles in society and increase out understanding of the nature of the Internet. Will the Internet simply replace the old media? Is it something revolutionary that may completely change our communication? My time at H-STAR will be spent reflecting on these, and related questions, as my profession faces the task of designing the future of media.
