Digitalization digs into companies’ structures and processes, and results in new procedures at the interface of person-to-person exchanges. Becoming a digital organization requires building leadership capabilities to envision and drive the transformation. My research analyses how leaders can be most effective in today’s connected work environment: How can they effectively bring together innovative technology with a people-oriented culture of leadership? How do they create a climate for innovation within their organization and successfully design, implement, and manage an innovation network? How can a future-oriented collaborative learning culture be developed and maintained within the organization, and how can leaders promote new learning formats?
