How can journalists in conflict and post-conflict societies effectively report on peacebuilding and human rights? The media’s impact on the escalation of conflict is more common than its impact on peacebuilding. How can journalism educators in post-conflict societies incorporate peacebuilding and human rights reporting in their curricula? What digital tools and platforms can be used to amplify peacebuilding journalism? What media programs can be developed to enhance positive engagement among communities? How can journalists help change people’s beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors for pro-social interaction? My research focuses on the effective use of news media in conflict mitigation, peacebuilding and human rights promotion.
