As a TV reporter, my aim is to find out how an anchorperson can contribute to building trust in media. Nowadays, “trust” is decreasing in the traditional media, such as TV, radio, and newspapers, all over the world. A reporter’s mission has been said to connect the broadcaster to audiences and be recognized as “the face of the broadcaster”, but we need to re-think what we can do to build new trust in the digital era. Also, engagement with users of a service has been considered to be important in many fields. In order to build trust and engagement with radio listeners, I will conduct research on the US podcasts market as a possible approach.
